Summary:
Reports to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Proposal Management and supports Amerigroup in meeting its strategic initiatives for growth by primarily by providing desktop publishing support, leading the proposal production process, and providing project management support to the RFP response. Provides assistance to, and works closely with, Proposal Management Leadership (VP of Proposal Management, AVP of Proposal Management, and AVP Proposal Writing & Messaging), Developer of Proposal Management, internal and contract writers, Operations Coordinator, contract writers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); and works closely with the Proposal Management team to develop compliant and winning proposal responses.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead proposal and/or presentation production efforts in preparing high-quality submissions.
2. Schedule, organize, develop and prepare specific proposals of varying complexity with the support of senior management leaders.
3. Maintenance, knowledge and configuration of desktop publishing and SharePoint sites.
4. Plan and execute the production support required, balancing conflicts that will arise when supporting multiple concurrent proposals.
5. Implement and maintain Sharepoint document library including reusable content, and assets that can be used in future proposal activities.
6. Develop style guides and quality checklists to ensure that all delivered products are compliant to RFP instructions and are of the highest quality.
7. Provides desktop publishing support, including development of project-specific proposal templates, ensuring writers’ adherence to the proposal template prior to each formal draft review and when finalizing the final response for printing/submission, formatting writers’ drafts as necessary, and working with writers to understand how to properly use the template.
8. Co-leads proposal productions with the AVP of Proposal Management; will guide a group of reviewers through the physical “book check” of the proposal and communicate to the AVP of Proposal Management any changes that need to be made to electronic files and any pages that need reprinting/replacing.
9. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related area of study.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
Years and Type of Experience Required:
Required:
- Five (5) years relevant experience in production, document management, proposal development, or business development related to responding to state RFPs.
Preferred:
- At least seven (7) years experience in proposal project management; managed care experience.
- Three to five years managing documents in SharePoint.
Specific Technical Skills
Required:
- MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Preferred:
- SharePoint, MS Project, MS Access, Visio
Certifications or Licensures
Required:
